...Who likes Lincoln’s styling?
I mean we can all agree this (MKS)
and this (MKT) are abominations unto the Lord.
But this (MKC) is pretty great!
The most important change in their styling was the grille. With the verticle slats it looked like the mouth of a baleen whale, but with the slats rotated 90 degrees it took on the appearance of wings flanking the Lincoln logo. The face that it was a vertically bisected grille was another plus. It really added to the uniqueness factor. With the exception of BMW, most car manufacturers are moving to a single trapezoidal shape. And while I think the new MKZ looks great-better than the previous gen even-I’m a little upset that they’re phasing out the wing grille in lieu of something vastly more generic.

Their new styling is an awful Audi knockoff. I like their current language much more.

I have a soft spot for the current MKZ. I’m actually sad to see it go, just can’t justify it over the fusion’s price.

I feel like both Lincoln and Acura gave up right as the designs were beginning to work. I always cite the Porsche Cayennes evolution as reason to just stick with something. I’m actually glad Lexus didn’t back down since the LC is proof people will mature as the design matures.

I agree, I'm even warming up to the GS and RC if I'm honest

Lincoln definitely gave up in the sense that they stopped doing their own thing and started going with the crowd. The LC has a lot of things about it that bug me but the Lexus design craziness isn’t one of them.

The MKZ has always had a lovely badonkadonk

The rear end of the current MKZ is the best part, and the front “wings” while unique were the weak spot of the design in my opinion. The new model looks fairly Jaguaresque

I like them, however, I hate the new redesigns for the MKC and the Navigator. They look terrible and if that's the direction they're taking, I might lose interest.

oof, really? i think the only thing worse than the rear end of the mkz is the front.
everything in between is just standard mid-sized sedan, wind-tunnel influenced jelly bean.
these are only opinions. but i had to follow one for about 20 minutes a few weeks ago. i was glad when the road finally opened up with a passing lane.

that bottom photo looks like a jaguar xf and a chrysler 300 love child.
i.e. not an audi

There’s just something Audi-ish about it.

I actually really like the swoopy “butterfly wing” grill. It was unique and no one else was doing it. Now it just looks like a Chinese Jag knockoff.

There was a good reason for vertical slats/a waterfall grill. I wish they’d fine-tuned it a bit.

Not a fan. Getting rid of the wing grill is a good move. It never worked (just look at that whale face on the MKS). The MKC and MKZ don’t look bad, but they also look worse than their Ford equivalents. Also, while unrelated to their styling, their naming scheme makes me want to punch someone. Yes, Lincoln, other luxury car makers use alphanumeric codes for their cars, but they also are also slightly intuitive, while yours seem to be picked at random.

I'm actually sad to see the current grill design go. It looked pretty good. So no you're not the only one who liked Lincoln styling.

Welcome my friend, we are 100% together on this. Except for the fact that I actually love the MKT.
The refreshed MKZ is unbelievable and when it’s on the lot with 400hp and 400 torque all wheel drive, I think it’s going to make some noise.

The pre-facelift MKz is my favorite. A striking presence whenever I see one. Also, the rear 3/4 is beautiful!

I’m with you! I never understood the scorn for the MKZ’s styling. I definitely prefer the old gen to the new one.

The good news is that the rear end is pretty much identical between the pre-facelifted and the facelifted versions!
